History of the P-51 Mustang
The P-51 Mustang was designed and manufactured by North American Aviation based on specs created by the British Purchasing Commission. The primary organizations that used the P-51 were the US Army Air Forces and the Royal Air Force. The aircraft was designed with a rolls-royce merlin engine and allison engine for high altitude. The aircraft had a maximum speed of 440mph.
